Logo and rebranding of an international shipping magazine | Sudokhodstvo
Sudokhodstvo maritime magazine (the name means "shipping" in Russian) is a specialized edition. Since 1993, it tells about the development of Ukrainian and international shipping, shipbuilding, logistics, the work of sea and river ports and the activities of sea transport enterprises. A time has come for the magazine to create a new logo and refresh the design of the pages. And the SOLAR Digital team was the one entrusted for this task.
The new logo version is based on the sextant, a navigation measuring device. This symbol has a long history and is extremely rare in branding. And it is an impressive graphic image that has inspired our team!
Our team has worked on several other impressive solutions which we want to show below.
We have chosen the sextant form of all proposed concepts after discussion and reasoning. After the logo design approval, we started to visualize it and developed universal creatives for social networks. Our team paid exceptional attention to online channels of interaction with readers because of their potential for brand growth.
Besides online, we paid attention to many carriers of corporate identity. In particular, business cards, badges, flags for participation in specialized exhibitions.
But the most exciting task was the magazine redesign. You can already see the result on the cover, but we worked through each inner page. Having received the first printed issue, we started to improve the pages in flexible agile sprints. The icing on the cake was a universal guideline for the team that will be dealing with the magazine layout in the future. As a result, we have made a complete reload of the magazine design.
