Chevron Design for Ukrainian Armed Forces Units — this is our contribution to the defense of the country. At the request of the military, we have developed chevron designs to ensure that each unit has a unique identity that reflects their values and bravery.
Our goal is to create aesthetically striking and symbolic chevrons that every soldier can wear with pride. We want to express our gratitude to every defender for their courage and dedication, and we are honored to support them in this important mission!
Chevron for the Marine Corps
The Marine Corps approached us with a request to develop a unique chevron for their unit. We carefully studied their mission and considered their preferences to create a design that was immediately approved. Our goal was not just to design a patch but to craft a symbol that truly reflects the essence and spirit of the Marine Corps.
The chevron was created in two versions—everyday and ceremonial. Throughout the design process, we meticulously worked on every detail to capture the strength, bravery, and grandeur of the warriors. At the heart of the composition lies the national emblem—the trident, which resembles Neptune’s trident, symbolizing dominance over the sea and unstoppable power on water. The background features ocean waves, representing constant movement, struggle, and readiness for action under any circumstances. A significant element in the design is the anchor placed over the trident, symbolizing stability, resilience, and unwavering dedication to duty.
Our team focused on ensuring that the chevron not only embodied the unit’s unique identity but also highlighted the pride and honor they carry. This emblem represents endurance and unbreakable will, even in the face of the fiercest challenges. With great pride in our work, we witness our chevrons adorning the uniforms of our courageous defenders, emphasizing their vital mission.
Chevron for the Territorial Defense Unit
The chevron for the aerial reconnaissance, fire adjustment, and strike unit is a symbol of honor and professionalism—something to be earned, not simply worn. Every element of this chevron carries deep symbolism, reflecting the unit’s character.
We chose the raven as the central figure—a bird that embodies wisdom, strategy, and relentless pursuit. In many cultures, the raven is considered a messenger, capable of seeing what is hidden from others. In the context of aerial reconnaissance, it symbolizes the ability to penetrate the fog of war, identify critical targets, and relay vital intelligence that can alter the course of events. On this chevron, the raven is not just a symbol of vigilance and intellect but also a reminder of the unit’s relentless work, even in the most challenging conditions.
The wind rose on the chevron highlights the unit’s global reach and omnipresence. It represents limitless operational capabilities, the ability to work in any direction, and control over the situation regardless of external circumstances. The wind rose is also a symbol of orientation and precision—essential qualities for aerial reconnaissance and fire adjustment, which demand flawless coordination and meticulous accuracy.
Additionally, the chevron features the inscription Black Raven Group, emphasizing the unit’s elite status and strong camaraderie. This is more than just a patch—it is a mark of excellence, signifying the professional level and crucial role this team plays in ensuring combat effectiveness.
During the design process, our goal was not only to represent the unit’s symbolism but also to capture its spirit and values. We carefully considered the soldiers’ input to create a design that proudly represents those on the frontlines of aerial reconnaissance and fire correction. This chevron is not merely a visual emblem—it is an award worn with pride by those who have earned their place in the ranks of the Black Raven Group through dedication and service.
Chevron for the Unmanned Systems Command Unit
The chevron for the drone operations unit embodies precision, speed, and an unyielding will to win. The central element of the design is a hawk—a symbol of vigilance, strategic thinking, and lightning-fast reaction. This predator represents the unit’s core mission: to always remain at the highest vantage point, controlling the airspace and delivering precise strikes against the enemy. The hawk clutches a missile in its talons, emphasizing its readiness to deliver decisive blows at any moment. This detail symbolizes the unit’s high-tech operations, which combine intelligence, accuracy, and combat power.
A distinct feature of the chevron is the inscription Carthago delenda est (“Carthage must be destroyed”). This historical phrase signifies determination and an unshakable commitment to the complete destruction of the enemy. For a drone operations unit, this motto is not just a call to action but a reminder of the significance of every mission and every precise strike.
During the design process, our goal was to capture not only the unit’s symbolism but also the essence of modern warfare, where technology plays a crucial role. We worked closely with the unit’s representatives to ensure that the final design reflects their professionalism and dedication.

At the request of the military, we proudly designed a unique chevron for an intelligence unit. Our goal was not only to incorporate traditional symbols but also to convey the spirit, determination, and patriotism of Ukrainian warriors.
The centerpiece of the design is an owl with outstretched wings, symbolizing wisdom, keen perception, and the ability to see what remains hidden from others. This reflects the essence of reconnaissance units—always vigilant, analyzing situations with precision. In the owl’s talons is a hare’s skull, representing victory over the enemy, the elimination of threats, and the triumph earned through the relentless fight for freedom and peace.
The background of the chevron features a map of Ukraine, with the frontlines highlighted, emphasizing the importance of every piece of land being defended. A particularly meaningful design element is the empty space where russia should be, symbolizing our vision of liberation, justice, and lasting peace.
