The client is a global organization that works in the fields of climate risk, natural resources, ecological resilience, and sovereign debt impact. Its work spans public institutions, investors, the corporate sector, donors, and funders. The team needed a website for NGO that could also serve the needs of government and NGO websites, as well as donor- and investor-focused platforms.
Task for the Solar Digital team:
- Design an interactive digital platform with a scalable interface and navigation, able to present dozens of directions through individual pages
- Deliver over 36 landing pages, each adapted for a unique target audience
- Ensure rapid website development combined with easy content creation through a custom admin panel
- Make the platform manageable without ongoing developer support
- Meet the needs of both government institutions and NGO, donor, and investor-facing platforms within a single solution
What we did:
- Designed the user interface based on the client’s existing identity, expanding it into a flexible design system
- Created 12 reusable page templates with variations to allow the platform to scale over time
- Delivered custom web development on WordPress with ACF Gutenberg
- Ensured a responsive design across all devices
- Built a fully modular website where editors can assemble new sections from ready-made blocks
- Developed a custom “advisor-navigator” — an interactive filter letting users select their sector and interests to instantly find relevant content
- Enriched the site with animations, dynamic elements, and SEO-optimized development practices, achieving excellent PageSpeed results
- Ran parallel workstreams — building the admin panel and interface alongside backend development
Process
After clarifying the audiences and expectations, we launched parallel streams — building the custom admin panel and frontend while developing the backend constructor. This saved time and allowed us to launch the global non-profit website from the ground up in a short timeframe.
